History

Mrs Ducketts first class

Bridgend Christian School has been in existence for over 20 years and caters for children from aged 4 to 18. The curriculum is provided by Accelerated Christian Education (ACE), leading to ICCE certificates which have been approved be NARIC and therefore are eligible for access to colleges and universities.

The curriculum material is written in such a way as to enable each child to develop at their own pace, which is one of the reasons that the school attracts very able pupils and those with learning difficulties.

The Christian foundation of the school and small class sizes provide a caring and disciplined atmosphere, where character is just as important as academic success.

In 1986, Kings School was born, and in 1989 they started using the ACE curriculum. Frontline Christian School started at a similar time, but both schools were unaware of each other until 1990!

In 1997, the schools merged to form Bridgend Christian School, affiliated to Christian Education Europe Limited (CEE), who provide the ACE curriculum to Schools throughout Europe.

From 1997 to 2004 Frontline Bible Church in Bridgend provided administrative responsibility and pastoral care for the School.

From 1st April 2004, Bridgend Christian School became an independent body and obtained its own charitable status. The school is now run by a board of Governors.

Over 200 children have been educated at the school. You can read some testimonials here.
